Job Summary:**
The Operator Dominion at Primoris Services Corporation is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment and machinery on various construction and utility projects. This role involves performing tasks such as excavation, trenching, backfilling, and material handling to support project objectives.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Operate a variety of heavy equipment including, but not limited to, excavators, backhoes, dozers, trenchers, loaders, and compactors in a safe and efficient manner.
* Conduct pre-operation safety checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.
* Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other project documents to ensure accurate and precise execution of tasks.
* Dig trenches, excavate foundations, and grade terrain according to specifications and safety guidelines.
* Load and unload materials, such as pipe, dirt, and gravel, using appropriate equipment.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel on site.
* Assist with manual labor tasks as needed to support project completion.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report major issues to maintenance personnel.
Job Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or utility environment.
* Proven ability to safely and proficiently operate multiple types of heavy equipment.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required for certain roles.
* Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
* Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
