[About the Role]
Join our team as an Operator 2, Warehouse Operations in Sparks, MD (Zip: 21152). As a key member of our warehouse, you'll support smooth and efficient material movement using a range of equipment in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. This is a contractor position on 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-12:20am) with a competitive pay rate of $18.00 per hour.
[Responsibilities]
- Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to transport materials, parts, and products within the warehouse
- Accurately follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to complete routine material handling and logistics tasks
- Maintain clear and accurate records as required
- Adhere to quality guidelines and safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform basic math calculations and interpret documentation in English
- Lift, move, and handle items weighing up to 50 lbs; regularly engage in standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and other physical tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
[Required Skills and Experience]
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-1 year warehouse or related experience/training
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary equipment certifications and safety training
- Proven ability to work within a metrics-driven, fast-paced environment
- General computer literacy
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to adhere to physical demands and environmental conditions (exposure to heat, cold, noise, moving machinery, and occasional fumes)
[Preferred Skills]
- Previous experience in material handling, logistics, or manufacturing production
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.)
- Basic analytical or scientific process knowledge
