About the Role
Join a thriving warehouse team in Sparks, MD as an Operator 2, Warehouse Operations. As a valued contributor, you'll operate key equipment to efficiently move goods and materials, ensuring products are handled with care and delivered on time. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment that offers the chance to build foundational warehouse and logistics skills while working a steady first shift.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to transport materials, assemblies, and finished products throughout the warehouse
- Accurately maintain records of inventory movements and stock levels
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines to ensure compliance and safety
- Complete routine tasks and support warehouse operations, including loading/unloading, packaging, and staging
- Participate in on-the-job skills training and maintain required certifications
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow
- Uphold safety standards, including wearing safety shoes and following all protocols
- Perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied temperature environments
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero to one year of warehouse or related experience/training
- Basic equipment operation and material handling skills
- Able to read, write, and interpret documents in English
- Basic math and general computer skills
- Effective communicator with attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to meet essential job demands
- Willingness to complete a drug test and attend in-person interviews
Preferred Skills
- Prior warehouse or logistics experience
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Forklift certification
- Experience in metrics-driven environments
