Job Summary: Operator 2, Machine - A Shift | Columbus, NE | $20/hr
About the Role:
Join our team as an Operator 2, Machine, and power your manufacturing career with hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This contractor position offers a 12-hour rotating shift (6:00am-6:00pm), including weekends, with a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour. You'll play a key role in labeling, packaging, and ensuring product quality, all while working alongside a collaborative team. Ideal for individuals seeking stability, skill development, and growth in manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately label, bag, and package boxes for shipment
- Place materials into packages and ensure proper sealing
- Perform routine production tasks: filling, packing, assembling, labeling, and inspecting
- Maintain detailed records and logs per FDA, GMP, and ISO9000 standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Rotate into various production tasks as needed
- Support team goals and uphold safety standards
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in manufacturing or production roles
- Familiarity with FDA, GMP, and ISO9000 standards
