    Job Summary

    The Manufacturing Training Specialist is responsible for delivering training programs that ensure employees are properly trained, certified, and compliant with operational and safety requirements. This role supports new hire onboarding, operator and technician training, certification tracking, and training record management within a manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver new hire orientation, classroom training, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) for manufacturing employees.
    • Train and certify operators and technicians according to process and production requirements.
    • Develop, update, and maintain training materials, manuals, and project-specific training packages.
    • Track employee certifications, re-certifications, licenses, and mandatory training requirements.
    • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company, quality, and safety standards.

    Training & Compliance

    • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Ensure training systems, processes, and documentation comply with organizational requirements.
    • Maintain up-to-date training files for all employees, including safety-sensitive personnel.
    • Monitor training completion status and follow up on overdue certifications and renewals.
    • Support process, system, quality, and safety-related training initiatives.

    Collaboration & Support

    • Partner with production, operations, and management teams to identify training needs.
    • Work closely with department leaders to incorporate feedback into training programs.
    • Support workforce development by improving employee skills and job readiness.
    • Assist with training audits and compliance reviews as required.
    • Provide guidance to employees regarding training, certification, and qualification requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 5 years of training experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience conducting classroom training, OJT, and employee development programs.
    • Strong public speaking, presentation, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
