Operations Technician

As a Machine Operator, you will operate and maintain pilot-scale manufacturing equipment, support manufacturing trials, troubleshoot process issues, and help maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-8 years of relevant machine operation experience or equivalent experience
• Ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment such as motors, pumps, and valves
• Basic computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office
• Good math skills with the ability to perform simple calculations when provided the necessary inputs
• Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a high-performance team
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes
• Good communication, listening, and leadership skills

What You'll Do as a Machine Operator:

• Operate and maintain pilot-scale manufacturing equipment
• Heat up equipment and prepare raw materials
• Discuss trial plans with researchers
• Run trials, adjust process settings, and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Package materials produced during trials
• Cool down equipment and clean the work area
• Comply with facility and equipment safety rules
• Participate in facility and equipment safety initiatives
