We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:The Operations Team Member for the ice arena is responsible for contributing to the daily operations, ensuring the facility runs smoothly and providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. This role involves working closely with staff, coordinating events, maintaining equipment, and addressing any issues that arise.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and staffHelp coordinate daily operations of the ice arena, including ice maintenance, scheduling, and facility managementMonitor ice operations to ensure the ice surface is properly maintained, including resurfacing, checking for quality, and addressing any issues promptlyLead, train, and schedule ice arena staff, including ice maintenance crews, concession stand workers, and customer service representativesOversee the setup and teardown of events, including hockey games, public skating sessions, and private rentals• Help manage inventory of ice arena supplies, including ice maintenance materials, concession items, and equipmentBe responsive to guest concerns and direct to appropriate manager to resolveAssist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipmentProvide direction and feedback to workers during shifts Enforce facility policies and proceduresHave general knowledge regarding program options and facility eventsAssist other departments as necessarySetup and take down of, staging, risers, and other event related itemsEnsure correct equipment is available for all gamesKeep supervisor informed of issues and updatesRespond to all incidents, accidents, injuries, and altercationsComplete and file corresponding paperwork as necessaryInspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to managementEnsure health and safety standards are followedFoster and maintain a positive work environmentResponsible for key and radio distributionResponsible for opening and closing of facilitiesCommunicate to Operations Manager and General Manager on event set and breakdownAll additional duties assigned by managementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to work with a wide variety of ages from preschool thru adultKnowledge of ice maintenance and rink operations is highly desirableProven experience in facility management, preferably in an ice arena or similar environmentFlexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance is necessaryExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentMust have excellent guest service skillsMust be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritizeAbility to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situationsMust be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders, and fellow team membersMust work well with othersMust take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facilityCommitment to the safety and wellbeing of othersMust possess a valid driver's licenseWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist highWork is performed in an ice arena environment, which includes cold temperatures and varying noise levelsMay involve exposure to ice resurfacing equipment and other machineryWill be required to stand for extended periods of timeWill be required to work indoors and outdoors year-roundMust be able to work independently in a busy environmentMust comply with safety and health code standardsFacility has intermittent noise
