    Overview

    Candidate will serve as an Operations Surveillance Analyst supporting a specific Groton Operations discipline(s) (Pipe, Steel, Machinist, Paint, etc.). This position will help coordinate/facilitate surveillances (targeted in-process observations to determine process health and function) for the assigned disciplines Groton management team. This position will provide project management, problem resolution, and facilitation experience for the assigned discipline. This position will be required to spend 15-35% of their time on the deck plate supporting Managers and General Foreman (as needed).

    Responsibilities will include: scheduling surveillances, maintaining records of surveillances, data mining various EB databases, supporting time studies, collaborating with management to create surveillance focus areas, compiling assessments, coaching management in conducting surveillances and reporting surveillance discoveries. Candidate will support various projects within operations including but not limited to actions generated from surveillance results. Candidate will generate commitments and support trades in completing commitments.

    Responsibilities

    Skills:

    • Strong written/verbal communication skills are required
    • Ability to work independently and support newly developing programs
    • High attention to detail and ability to demonstrate previous experience in performing at a high quality level
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience interfacing with all levels of management

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum (3) years working in a Quality, Operations, or Business Support function
    • 1+ years of experience project facilitation

    Preferred:

    • Bachelors Degree
    • Experience analyzing, tracking and trending quality data
    • Experience performing in-process quality audits/surveillances
