Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring performance, driving employee engagement, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor individual and department performance on safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Drive employee engagement activities and establish a positive work environment through regular communication and feedback.
  • Ensure personnel have appropriate training, work instructions, and tooling for successful job execution.
  • Lead safety initiatives through regular communications, engagement in the CI process, and prompt reporting of near misses with thorough corrective actions.
  • Manage daily staffing and employee movements to meet production and warehousing requirements.
  • Oversee production activities to ensure products meet or exceed quality requirements.
  • Support factory goals regarding 5S implementation, Continuous Improvement, Client planning, and operating budgets.
 
Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • 1 or more years of experience with manufacturing and quality management principles, tools, and processes.
  • Willingness to work overtime (weekdays or weekends) as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities in a team environment.
  • Experience making sound decisions and being proactive in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to conduct crucial conversations and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Experience communicating across functions such as supply management, engineering, operations, and human resources.
  • 1 or more years of experience with production control systems.
  • 1 or more years of experience in a leadership role in a union environment.
  • Two or more years of experience with shop floor manufacturing and incentive pay systems.
  • Cross-functional work experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Material Control, or Supply Management.
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing techniques for business improvements.
  • Proficiency in operating and information systems such as Word, Excel, SAP, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $38.31 - $38.31/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
