Operations - Sanctions Specialist - Jersey City, NJ - Contract - $39-49 Per HR
Join our team as an Operations - Sanctions Specialist in a dynamic, high-volume environment in Jersey City, NJ. This contract position involves managing regulatory compliance and transaction reviews. The role requires proficiency in regulatory awareness and transaction monitoring technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Level 2 review of transactions for potential sanctions violations and manage queues to meet deadlines.
- Conduct investigations on payments held for regulatory reasons and ensure timely follow-ups and responses.
- Collaborate with financial services and legal teams for wire transfer searches and case investigations.
- Ensure compliance of escalated transactions with external and internal regulations.
- Prepare and analyze reports, recommending procedural changes as necessary.
Qualifications
- Associate/BA degree from an accredited college/university.
- 2-3 years' experience in OFAC and sanctions investigation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory awareness and relevant regulations.
- Proficient in funds transfer operations and related rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
