MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented OPERATIONS RESEARCH SYSTEMS ANALYST (ORSA) to join our team in QUANTICO, VA.

This role supports the execution of complex wargaming events, leveraging analytical methodologies to assess future force capabilities and shape Marine Corps doctrine.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • You will design, develop, and execute wargames and tabletop exercises to support the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory's strategic objectives.
  • You will apply operations research, statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling techniques to evaluate wargame outcomes and operational concepts.
  • You will collaborate with military planners, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to define wargame scenarios, objectives, and evaluation metrics.
  • You will collect, process, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data generated during wargaming events to identify trends and capability gaps.
  • You will prepare comprehensive analytical reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • You will support the integration of modeling and simulation tools to enhance the realism and analytical rigor of wargame execution.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or a related analytical discipline and 5+ years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis in support of military operations, wargaming, or defense planning. A total of 10 years' experience without a degree.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis software and data visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, Excel).
  • Strong understanding of Marine Corps organizational structure, doctrine, and future force design concepts.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Operations Research or a related technical field.
  • Experience designing evaluation frameworks and data collection plans for exercises or wargames.
  • Familiarity with combat modeling and simulation applications used within the Department of Defense.
  • Prior military service, particularly within the United States Marine Corps, with experience in operational planning.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active current TS/SCI security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

The projected compensation range for this position is $91,600.00-$153,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
