Job Description:
- Plans the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
- Develops and implements long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program.
- Leads the delivery of program objectives, maintaining program schedule, target dates, and critical path.
- Develops and manages a program change control process to ensure project teams operate within the scope and change approval process.
- Directs program staff by providing input and feedback, tracking progress, and reviewing program activities to ensure benefits and deadlines are met.
- Proactively assesses program risk and issues, identifying solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals.
- Ensures all program stakeholders receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards.
- Communicates with clients and other stakeholders to gain support for the program and solicit input for improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Has conceptual familiarity with project management tools & methodologies. [Required]
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills with the ability to identify root cause and resolve issues. [Required]
- Experience managing large-scale cross functional projects/programs with project durations of a year or longer. [Required]
- Experience managing programs implementing solutions often requiring vendor and/or contract support, systems integration, platform upgrades, business process updates and multiple business unit requirements. [Required]
- Experience in reporting program and project status to VP level executives. [Required]
- Experience prioritizing projects within the program and working seamlessly with various stakeholders in a matrix organization. [Required]
- Experience identifying and managing cross-dependencies, key milestones, program and project level critical path, cross program risks/issues and program level tasks/activities. [Required]
- Partner with the business on understanding strategy, goals, and objectives and responsibility for delivering on that strategy. [Required]
- Experience with budget tracking [Required]
- Experience in leading, supporting, and working with matrix project teams. [Required]
- Experience in delegation management [Required]
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. [Required]
- Experience in synthesizing complex or diverse program/project data and/or information [Required]
- Proficiency in portfolio, program and project management methodologies including but not limited to the PMI. [Preferred]
- Experience managing large vendor contracts and project resources. [Preferred]
- Ability to influence others to achieve results. [Preferred]
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment. [Preferred]
