Description

Overview:

 

This position will be responsible for developing inventory strategies based on production and shipping schedules in a dynamic work environment. Responsible for efficiently planning, monitoring and tracking all production and shipping activities at the

facility.

Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities:

· Meet monthly inventory targets by reviewing at risk inventory (blocked, expiring, failed), and safety stock. Work with

management team to ensure disposition of material is followed through.

· Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimal delays.

· Responsible for reviewing data in SAP to ensure data integrity.

· Responsible for the development and presentation of production/shipping schedules on a weekly basis by planning,

scheduling and managing movement of materials through the production schedule (2 weeks out).

· Maintains integrity and validity of business systems by ensuring appropriate use of planning tools in SAP.

· Assist in monthly inventory reconciliations and be able to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory.

· Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials required to cover product demand.

· Prepare and submit status/performance reports (Key Performance Indicators).

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

 

Education:

· Bachelor's degree or 3+ years equivalent work experience.

 

Experience / specific knowledge:

· Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

· Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor ion, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on

details, and follow work rules.

· Must be able to create reports using the Internet, Email, Microsoft Programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and SAP.

· Previous experience with SAP

 

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

· Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).

 

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

· Must have basic math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

· Must have ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and

small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

· Must be willing to perform warehouse and office work.

 

Physical demands:

· Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

 

Working conditions:

· Must be willing and able to work in a corporate office and field environment.

· Must be willing and able to carry a cell phone and respond as needed.

· Extended periods of sitting may be required for administrative activities.

 

Supervisory responsibility:

· None

· Previous experience in a bulk handling facility.

· Previous experience with a database or inventory control system. (Ex. Lawson)
