Associate Production Planner –  Apparel

Location: Hybrid – Reynoldsburg, OH

Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate Production Planner to support end-to-end order management and production activities within a fast-paced lingerie and apparel organization.

This role sits on the corporate product and production side of retail and is responsible for managing purchase orders, tracking production and delivery milestones, monitoring raw material commitments, maintaining reporting, communicating with vendors, and resolving day-to-day order issues.

Strong candidates may come from Production Planning, Product Development, Raw Materials, Production Coordination, Assistant Design, or Technical Design backgrounds. The ideal candidate understands the apparel product lifecycle and has experience working with vendors, materials, inventory, production timelines, and cross-functional retail teams.

Please note: This is not a warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment, or 3PL operations position.

Key Responsibilities

Order & Production Management

• Manage the end-to-end order process across multiple brand channels.

• Initiate, maintain, and track purchase orders and resolve PO amendments.

• Maintain on-order reporting and ensure order information remains accurate.

• Monitor production schedules, order status, and delivery timelines.

• Track key production milestones, including dye dates, cut dates, and delivery dates.

• Review weekly order status reporting and identify potential production or delivery issues.

• Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within SAP and Mainframe systems.

• Respond to planning requests and make necessary adjustments to on-order activity.

• Support immediate issue resolution and escalation for speed and priority orders.

Vendor & Materials Coordination

• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional partners regarding production status, materials, orders, commitments, and delivery timing.

• Track and reconcile raw material commitments and inventory-related information.

• Monitor material liabilities and ensure timely confirmation following order placement.
