Job Description


Higher Point Carpet Care is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of our growing carpet cleaning, water restoration, and mold remediation company.


The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive restoration industry experience, and the ability to manage crews, coordinate projects, and ensure quality service.


This is not strictly an office or supervisory position. We are looking for someone who leads by example and is willing to work alongside the team in the field when needed.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, dispatching, field crews, equipment, and project coordination.
  
  
• Supervise, train, and hold technicians accountable for performance, productivity, and quality of work.
  
  
• Work closely with the Mitigation Manager to coordinate projects, manage crews, and achieve operational goals.
  
  
• Perform moisture and mold inspections using moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and industry-standard equipment.
  
  
• Provide technical leadership for water damage restoration, mold remediation, and mitigation projects.
  
  
• Actively assist with hands-on remediation work, including water extraction, drywall removal, demolition, containment, equipment setup, and structural drying.
  
  
• Manage projects from initial inspection through completion, including estimates, documentation, and quality control.
  
  
• Communicate with property managers, clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  
  
• Monitor equipment, inventory, company vehicles, and operational needs.
  
  
• Ensure work meets IICRC standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
  
  
• Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule, including nights and weekends, to assist with water emergencies, deliver and set up drying equipment, and support on-call technicians.
  
  
• Work closely with ownership to improve efficiency, resolve operational challenges, and support company growth.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in water restoration, mold remediation, or the mitigation industry.
  
  
• Previous management, supervisory, or project management experience.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of water mitigation, structural drying, mold remediation, and demolition procedures.
  
  
• Experience performing moisture inspections and preparing scopes of work.
  
  
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT) highly preferred.
  
  
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
  
  
• Valid driver's license and ability to perform physical fieldwork.
  
  
• Availability for rotating after-hours emergency calls.
  
  
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
