Step into the Heart of Making Life-Changing Devices
At Avalign, we build innovative, high‑performance, and cost‑effective medical devices that power better outcomes for clinicians and their patients. In our temperature‑controlled facilities, our people are hands‑on across design, engineering, and manufacturing—ensuring every custom product meets exacting customer quality specifications.
As our Operations Manager, you will direct, plan, organize, and control all manufacturing operations— including machine programming and safety—so production runs smoothly and efficiently. Areas of responsibility may shift based on business needs, and your work will continuously support the company’s growth and profitability goals.
A Day in the Life
You start by reviewing production orders and schedules, mapping out the day’s priorities and the sequence of builds to hit scheduled dates. You walk the floor, inspect machines and equipment for optimal performance and utilization, and ensure teams are following established procedures that achieve precise quality specifications. With cost and quality goals in mind, you fine‑tune production processes, coach supervisors, and align direct labor to meet labor cost targets. When reports flag operational or maintenance issues, you resolve them quickly to minimize costs and prevent delays. You keep standard work fresh—revising and reinforcing procedures for compliance—and you oversee safety programs and on‑site training. Throughout, you compile, store, and retrieve production data to drive decisions. You lead with clarity and fairness, addressing grievances directly or escalating unresolved items to senior leadership. And you carry forward supervisory responsibilities—interviewing, hiring, training, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, and resolving complaints—in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. You wrap the day by ensuring the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of manufacturing operations are on track—and you jump in on other related duties as required or assigned.
