The School District of Janesville is accepting applications for an Operations Manager of School Nutrition.

This is a year-round position beginning May 18, 2026.
This position participates in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).

This is an administrative support staff role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Supervises the management system to ensure high standards for quality food production following USDA and DPI guidance.
Supervise and monitor operational systems to properly and efficiently manage food production and service.
Supervise and monitor guidelines for planning menus that meet the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) nutritional requirements for child nutrition programs and support operational goals of the school nutrition program.
Supervise and monitor as a leader to position food and nutrition program as an integral component of the school district; support the nutrition and wellness initiatives within the school district.
Supervise and monitor procurement guidelines that comply with established regulations and support operational goals of the school nutrition program.
Supervise and monitor established policies and procedures to ensure food is prepared and served in a sanitary and safe environment. (HACCP)
Provides leadership in creating a safe work environment for school nutrition operations.
Supervise and monitor the systematic approach to address emergency and disaster situations.
Supervise and monitor a human resource infrastructure for the school nutrition program that complies with school district policies as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
Supervise and monitor the process for recruiting, hiring, retaining, and promoting qualified school nutrition staff in compliance with the school district''s written procedures and labor laws.
Supervisie and monitor a comprehensive needs-based training infrastructure that enhances learning and improves job skills.
Supervise and monitor a systematic approach for marketing the school nutrition program.
Supervise and monitor a customer service infrastructure to support the school nutrition program.
Assist in supervision and monitoring the designing and planning facilities that support the operational goals of the school nutrition program.
Supervise and monitor the environmental responsible school nutrition program.
Additional Responsibilities:
Conducts audits for (NSLP, SBP, AEASSP, and SFSP), HACCP inspections, and SOP inspections.
Conduct personalized specific staff trainings to ensure staff are following district SOP''s.
Perform the duties of acting Kitchen Manager/Hostess when assigned personnel are not available to perform their duties. (Medical Leave, Personal Leave, Vacant Position)
