Description

A Kforce retail client in Moreno Valley, CA is currently looking for an Operations Manager for a fully onsite role. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence within a high-volume distribution environment by improving processes, managing production teams, optimizing workflow efficiency, and ensuring the timely and accurate movement of merchandise throughout the supply chain. Summary: The Operations Manager will oversee daily distribution center operations, production planning, staffing, and performance management. This individual will lead supervisors and warehouse teams to achieve productivity, quality, safety, and service goals while maintaining operational compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily processing and distribution operations to ensure accurate and timely movement of merchandise
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and warehouse staff to achieve performance goals
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and operational metrics while maintaining accurate production reporting
  • Establish departmental objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement short and long-term solutions
  • Plan staffing levels and workload distribution to meet production demands
  • Partner with senior leadership on production planning, capacity forecasting, and labor management
  • Conduct regular team meetings and maintain clear communication across shifts
  • Support hiring, training, performance management, employee development, and corrective action processes
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on employee relations matters
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety standards, and warehouse operating procedures
  • Drive a positive team culture focused on accountability, productivity, and employee engagement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field preferred
  • 5-8 years of management experience in a distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment
  • Proven experience leading large teams in a fast-paced operational setting
  • Experience with workforce planning, production management, and process improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and employee development abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and leadership levels
  • Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); PKMS experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of RF scanning technology and warehouse operations
  • Understanding of production reporting, inventory management, and operational metrics
  • Basic understanding of relational databases preferred
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and office environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical activities throughout the workday
  • Must be comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
