    About the Role

    CBRE is seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to support a major telecommunications client in Madison, Wisconsin.

    As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of facilities and operational services, ensuring exceptional performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency across the account. This role serves as a key liaison between the client, vendors, and internal teams, driving service excellence while maintaining compliance, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    This position is ideal for a strong people leader who excels at managing complex operations, fostering client relationships, and delivering measurable business results in a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital role in supporting critical business functions while leading high-performing teams and ensuring seamless service delivery.

    As part of CBRE's Facilities Management organization, you'll help create exceptional workplace experiences and support the operational needs of a major telecommunications client.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead and manage daily operations, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations and CBRE standards.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, serving as a trusted partner and primary point of contact for operational matters.
    • Supervise and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
    • Oversee vendor performance, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and contractual obligations are consistently achieved.
    • Manage operational budgets, expenses, and financial reporting to support profitability and cost-control objectives.
    • Coordinate and prioritize service requests, projects, and operational initiatives to meet business objectives and client expectations.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and client procedures.
    • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to support facility operations, maintenance activities, workplace services, and strategic projects.
    • Develop contingency plans and support business continuity efforts to minimize operational disruptions.
    • Provide regular reporting and operational updates to leadership and client stakeholders.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

    What You'll Need

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience in operations management, facilities management, workplace services, telecommunications, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
    • Proven leadership experience managing teams, vendors, and client relationships in a fast-paced operational environment.
    • Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and driving operational performance.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound business decisions.
    • Experience managing service delivery and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, KPIs, and SLAs.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and functions.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
