    Bear Staffing is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with an established national provider of modular buildings, mobile offices, and storage solutions in Lawrenceville, GA.

    This is a key leadership position responsible for keeping daily branch operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The Operations Manager will partner closely with the Branch Manager while overseeing yard personnel, drivers, service technicians, vendors, contractors, fleet activities, scheduling, safety, and overall operational performance.

    We're looking for a strong, hands-on leader with experience in construction, rental, service, fleet, or field operations who knows how to lead people, manage changing priorities, solve problems, and keep a busy operation moving.

    What You'll Do

    • Oversee daily operations and provide leadership to yard personnel, drivers, service technicians, vendors, and contractors
    • Coordinate scheduling for deliveries, pickups, repairs, service work, and modular building setups
    • Assign and prioritize work while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
    • Lead, coach, train, and hold employees accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and performance
    • Ensure units meet company standards for inspection, cleaning, repair, and refurbishment
    • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including pricing, purchase orders, and outside services
    • Oversee inventory, materials, purchasing, branch equipment, and vehicle/fleet maintenance
    • Monitor operational expenses and support branch budget goals
    • Lead safety programs, training, incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
    • Identify potential hazards and promote safe practices throughout yard, service, delivery, setup, and teardown operations
    • Utilize company systems to manage scheduling, service tickets, purchase orders, inventory, and fleet information
    • Track operational performance and partner with the Branch Manager to improve customer service, safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency

    What We're Looking For

    • 5+ years of construction industry experience
    • 5+ years of management or supervisory experience
    • Leadership experience within a construction, rental, service, fleet, field-service, or similar operational environment
    • Experience managing employees, crews, vendors, contractors, and multiple schedules
    • Strong understanding of construction practices and subcontractor management
    • Strong safety knowledge and experience enforcing safe work practices
    • Fleet or vehicle operations experience preferred
    • Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    • Experience with CRM, ERP, or operations-management systems
    • Basic understanding of budgets, expenses, and financial reporting
    • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
    • OSHA 30 certification preferred
    • Modular building experience is a plus, but not required

    Ideal Background

    Candidates coming from construction operations, field service, equipment rental, fleet management, facilities, or similar hands-on operational environments may be a strong fit.

    We're looking for someone who can lead the people while managing the operation someone comfortable balancing scheduling, staffing, safety, vendors, fleet needs, customer priorities, and the unexpected challenges that come with a busy branch environment.

    Physical Requirements

    This position operates within an active construction and service environment. Candidates must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, walking throughout an active yard, working around vehicles and heavy equipment, wearing required PPE, and safely operating company vehicles or equipment when necessary.
