SURESTAFF is immediately an hiring Operations Manager for a large, well-known client in Itasca, IL. The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing international mail consolidation activities across the production floor to meet work projections and customer requirements outlined in Service Level Agreements. This involves scheduling and coordinating work across multiple operations areas, including mail and parcel processing, sorting, fulfillment, export screening, and transportation, to ensure that customers' service expectations are met and maintained. 
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All direct hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($80,000-$85,000/yr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include:1st shift with a start time of 5:30am2nd shift with a start time of 2:30pm   Operations Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations for international mail and package processing.
  • Make sure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Schedule and organize work across sorting, fulfillment, package screening, and transportation teams.
  • Assign daily tasks based on production needs and deadlines.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and support Supervisors and Team Leads.
  • Monitor employee performance, productivity, and quality.
  • Make sure all mail and packages are processed according to company and customer requirements.
  • Review work and final products to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Identify ways to improve processes, reduce delays, and control labor costs.
  • Track production results and prepare daily reports.
  • Use production data to make staffing and operational decisions.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Data, and Media teams to resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure employees follow all safety, quality, and workplace procedures.
  • Support company health, safety, environmental, and quality programs.
 Operations Manager Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently with little direct supervision, which is critical.
  • Demonstration of strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills required.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and assume a leadership role.
  • Willing to take ownership of shifts and production-related issues.
  • Industry knowledge of international shipping or export practices would be a plus.
  • Office environment computer skills are required to meet all business facility goals and individual goals/metrics.
  • Must demonstrate professional behaviors at all times.
  • Must value diversity and demonstrate inclusive behavior
  • Must be able to communicate in English - Spanish
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
