Description

A well-established company specializing in livestock management solutions is seeking an Operations Manager to join the team. This is a great opportunity to help grow the US operations of a successful global organization, requiring excellent personnel management skills and a proven track record in the manufacturing industry. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily running of the site, from administration to production and dispatch.

Salary:$95,000–$100,000
Location: Houston, TX 77041
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily running of the facility.
  • Plan, organize, and direct both the administration and production teams.
  • Manage stocking levels.
  • Monitor production standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Manage and monitor safety conditions to ensure full compliance.
  • Drive any required process changes and improve efficiency.
  • Responsible for training, development and motivation of employees to promote peak performance.
  • Communicate with senior management in the UK.
  • Prepare all required reports.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, including client invoicing and collections, as needed.
  • Duties may change, and the Operations Manager may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Industrial Distribution, Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • High school diploma or GED Required
  • 5+ years of manufacturing/operations management experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and consistent in the execution of job duties
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of being adaptable and flexible
  • Well-developed analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead teams through example
  • Proficiency in the use of software, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Understand lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of agricultural industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS (preferred)
