Operations Manager – Electrical Contractor

We are a small construction company in Orange County seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and help keep our projects, field crews, office activities, and administrative processes running efficiently.

This is a key position within our company. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, solves problems, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced small-business environment.

The ideal candidate has previous experience in operations management, project management, construction management, or a similar role.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position in Orange County, CA. This is not a remote position.

Compensation depends on experience.

• Oversee day-to-day company operations
• Coordinate scheduling of electricians, crews, service calls, and projects
• Track active jobs, deadlines, and outstanding items
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Assist with purchasing and ordering job materials
• Track purchase orders, work orders, and job documentation
• Help ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed
• Maintain organized project and customer records
• Follow up on proposals, change orders, invoices, and outstanding paperwork
• Assist with job costing and project tracking
• Coordinate permits, inspections, and project documentation as needed
• Monitor project progress and help resolve scheduling or operational issues
• Develop and improve internal procedures and workflow
• Help ensure field and office teams communicate effectively
• Handle day-to-day problems and follow through until resolved
• Support ownership with planning, reporting, and operational decisions
