Job Summary
The Operations Manager is a key leader within the Ameriflex (AMF) business, partnering closely with the General Manager to drive operational performance, scale the organization, and support continued growth.
AMF is a rapidly growing precision manufacturing business serving semiconductor, aerospace, and emerging medical markets, currently operating through a period of significant expansion and evolution. This role will play a critical part in strengthening operational execution, introducing technology, building scalable processes, and developing team capability to support the next phase of growth.
The position offers broad leadership exposure across manufacturing, engineering, and quality functions, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time as the business continues to evolve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
Drive production performance against schedules while improving throughput, efficiency, and uptime
Build, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team, including supervisors and frontline leaders
Partner with Engineering and Quality to resolve technical issues, improve processes, and ensure product integrity
Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, automation, process optimization) to support growth
Establish structure, discipline, and scalable processes as the business continues to expand
Monitor and manage key performance metrics, using data to identify bottlenecks and drive decisions
Support planning, materials, and supply chain coordination to ensure alignment with production needs
Contribute to broader business leadership, including cost management, resource planning, and operational strategy
Track labor, scrap, overtime, materials usage, and other cost drivers.
Participate in capital planning and equipment upgrades.
Manage departmental budgets and control operating costs.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership presence with the ability to lead through growth and change
Hands-on, operationally strong with a bias for action and problem-solving
Technical aptitude with the ability to engage in manufacturing and engineering discussions
Solid business acumen, and financial literacy including understanding of cost drivers and performance metrics
Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
Effective communicator with the ability to influence across functions Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8-15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, or plant leadership Demonstrated upward trajectory into leadership roles Preferred:
Experience in precision manufacturing or metal-based products
Exposure to aerospace, semiconductor, or medical industries
Experience in a growing or scaling manufacturing environment Prior experience influencing or leading across multiple functions
