    Job Description:

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:
    The primary function of a Dedicated Operations Manager is to manage all personnel within their Dedicated operations.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Monitor and track daily reports. Develop and maintain weekly KPI’s specific to each account to review with team and identify strategies for continual improvement.
    • Complete annual performance reviews of dedicated fleet managers.
    • Review load assignments from customers and review to ensure the appropriateness of such driver work assignments.
    • Notify the business development department of issues/changes that might impact customer expectations or affect load assignments.
    • Promote safety throughout all areas of operations, including the dispatching of loads in accordance with the drivers hours of availability.
    • Focus on driver retention by understanding driver requirements/preferences, by monitoring driver performance to ensure driver requirements are being met, and by keeping drivers informed and motivated.
    • Participate in Quality Teams by conducting driver route and hold meetings.
    • Coaching and development of personnel. Including dedicated fleet managers and drivers
    • Resolve driver conflicts, problems, and requests with respect to matters such as, hometime, pay equipment, and load assignments.
    • Ensure awareness of and enforce company policies.
    • Ensure the operations remain a productive center by monitoring these processes and keep freight moving by repowers or dispatched when necessary.
    • Maintain records pertaining to driver performance and productivity.
    • Maintain records of the fleet manager’s performance, productivity and policies.
    • Participate as an active member in Quality teams and attend company meetings, as necessary.
    • Effective communication with customers to work through any issues and develop positive relationships to allow for operational improvements and continued growth opportunities.
    • Some travel may be required to meet customers and team members


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
    • Four-year degree, preferably in Transportation and Logistics, and/or relevant experience in transportation or related field.
    • Fluent in computer applications and keyboard proficiency.
    • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress.
    • Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Must be able to sit and use telephone and computer, simultaneously, for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to speak and hear clearly in a high volume telephone environment.
