Our operations manager ensures daily execution and oversight of Distribution operations of temperature controlled Ethicon products, at our Memphis Logistics Center located in Memphis, TN.

The Operations Manager- Cold Chain will direct all aspects of the cold chain operations for the Memphis operation. Provide leadership to ensure best in class execution of, the operations team as it relates to inbound, outbound, inventory and all Distribution related activities.

Ensure compliance with GxP/FDA/ISO requirements and be a key player to optimize and coordinate findings from other Deliver and Make sites as appropriate. Work with all of the vital organizations (Engineering, Facilities, EHS&S, Planning, Suppliers, GDEx, as well as others) to provide day to day mentorship and longer-term strategic direction to the site within the scope of this role.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day operations of the cold chain portfolio
  • Lead all aspects of budget, spend and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver on all target Metrics and KPIs
  • Partner E2E to drive operational efficiency and outstanding customer experience.
  • Partner with JnJ to plan and provide future capacity and process improvements in support of new products and the company's strategic plan.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by site management team.
  • Oversee site infrastructure upgrades as they pertain to the Cold Chain functional area.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent University degree required; Advanced degree preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum six (6) years of relevant professional work experience
  • Supply Chain experience
  • Use of Good Manufacturing/ Distribution principles (GMP) principles
  • Knowledge of qualification and validation approaches
  • Capable to lead and motivate people, and coach them to develop and grow
  • Presentation and well-developed communications skills

Preferred

  • FPX, Six Sigma, Lean training
  • Knowledge of compliance, safety regulations, validation experience
  • Project Management experience; control of information flows, manage/control budgets and follow-up planning is required. Knowledge of FPX methodology
  • Distribution process and experience with temperature controlled products

Other:

  • This position may require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other sites and locations
