About Us:
We are a manufacturing organization specializing in plastic injection molding for medical device components. Our team is focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee production and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Position Overview:
The Operations Manager will oversee daily operations of a plastic injection molding facility. This role is responsible for managing production, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and internal quality standards while driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily injection molding production operations
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA requirements
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams
- Manage production schedules and resource planning
- Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in efficiency and scrap reduction
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen)
- Support new product introduction and design for manufacturability
- Manage staffing, training, and performance of production teams
- Oversee capacity planning and equipment readiness
- Coordinate material availability with supply chain teams
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- 5+ years in plastic injection molding environment
- Knowledge of medical device manufacturing standards (ISO 13485, FDA)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience managing production teams and KPIs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
