Job Description Summary
The Additional Location Operations Manager serves as the primary institutional representative at Shawnee State's additional location in Chillicothe, Ohio. They direct and manage the additional location operations at Chillicothe, providing oversight and direction for the operations of all degree and course offerings at this site. The position oversees and directs all processes related to the delivery of SSU programs and courses at the additional location, including: recruitment and enrollment processes for prospective students seeking programs/courses at this location, student and faculty support for enrolled students, and serving as the primary point of contact addressing all operational needs for SSU students, faculty/staff and Adena team members at SSU's additional location (Chillicothe). Due to the location on the campus of the Adena Regional Medical Center and the primary health care focus of programs, healthcare leadership experience is required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership and Operations Management for SSU Additional Location
Provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and administrative management for all academic and student support functions at the site. Ensures effective delivery of academic programs, compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous operational improvement.
Directs and manages all operational activities associated with the delivery of academic programs, courses, student services technology resources, facilities coordination, and institutional partnerships at the University's additional location. Includes being point-of-contact for vendors engaged in service agreements for technology installed at additional location.
Exercises independent judgement and decision-making authority regarding day-to-day operations, resource allocation, issue resolution, and stakeholder concerns to ensure uninterrupted delivery of academic programming and student support services. Key internal stakeholders include SSU administrative leadership, faculty, staff and external stakeholders include Adena administration and team members and community partners.
Serves as University's designated on-site administrator and institutional representative, ensuring alignment between University objectives and additional location operations.
Coordinates cross-functional operational activities among Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, Informational Technology Services, Facilities, Finance and external partners.
Partnership Development, Student Success. And Community Engagement
Develops and maintains strategic relationships that support enrollment growth, student success, academic quality, community partnerships, and institutional visibility at the additional location.
Serves as primary University representative and relationship manager for all internal and external stakeholders associated with the additional location
Develops, coordinates, and implements communication strategies that support enrollment, retention, stakeholder engagement, and effective operations.
Implements recruitment and enrollment strategies and processes for SSU programs and courses at additional location in collaboration with CHHS Dean, relevant admissions team members (Director of Admissions, Chief Enrollment Officer, Admissions Associates, Advisors, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Registrar, key faculty/program directors, etc). Plans, coordinates, and participates in student engagement and recruitment activities at various venues. Cultivates strategic partnerships with healthcare systems, community organizations, workforce partners, educational institutions, and regional employers to enhance program visibility and support enrollment growth.
Serves as liaison and resource between all stakeholders, provides support and mentorship for new program/course implementation; ensures student support services are provided and facilitates student engagement at additional location. Other duties as assigned.
Identifies barriers affecting student persistence and success and collaborates with university partners to implement solutions and interventions.
Assessment, Data Analysis, and Continuous Improvement
Uses data-informed decision-making processes to evaluate operational effectiveness, student outcomes, stakeholder satisfaction, enrollment trends and program success at the additional location.
Develops, implements, and monitors performance metrics and assessment processes to evaluate operational effectiveness and support institution/program reporting requirements. Ensures alignment with university policies and procedures, and supports compliance with HLC requirements for additional location.
Analyzes operational, enrollment, retention, and student success data; recommends and implements improvements that enhance service quality, efficiency, and student outcomes
Prepares reports, recommendations, and strategic planning information for University leadership regarding additional location performance and future growth opportunities

Working Conditions:
This position is based in Chillicothe, with travel as needed to Portsmouth and outreach locations, occasional evening/weekend work for outreach. Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive dust, noise, heat and the like. Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.), walking, and driving required. Valid driver's license with less than 3 moving violations. Travel and work evenings and/or weekends as needed for recruitment and outreach events. Work schedule adjusted accordingly.
