Job Description

Must have an active (or ability to obtain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Clearance

Summary:

This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge and experience related to logistics, with a special

emphasis on warehouse operations and customer service. The Warehouse Lead is a working lead who

demonstrates core leadership qualities and is flexible, has excellent communication skills and is able to

adapt easily to change.

Scope:

Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Operations Lead is responsible for the daily

operations related to Material Management including shipping/receiving, material handling, material

inventory and cycle counts, forklift operation, customer service, document destruction and other tasks

related to Logistics. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for providing an array of customer driven on

demand services within a secure government facility.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities Include but are limited to:

Position requires the flexibility and performance of a multitude of Integrated Logistics Support functions

related to Material Management, Transportation, Shipping/Receiving, Material Handling and Warehousing

Efficient and safe handling of all incoming and outgoing material

Coordinates with site management/staff to implement plans and recommendations

Prepares plans, procedures, schedules, and develops tools for warehouse operations

Promptly and accurately maintains Government material within all designated warehouse storage areas to

ensure highest audit rating is sustained

Ensures Contract is in compliance with Federal, Contract and Corporate requirements and is prepared for

audits and customer reviews

Performs physical inventories of Government material and prepare inventory and financial reports

Creates and maintains local work instructions and procedures in accordance with applicable directives

Monitors Material Management and Logistics processes and continuously drive process improvements

Understands customer requirements, provides technical guidance, direction and training to co-workers and

site personnel relating to Material Management matters

Supports movement of Government material by operating light duty vehicles and forklifts

Supports Special Project assignments from Management or Customer, as required

Performs other duties as directed by the Site Logistics Manager

Basic Job Requirements

A combination of education and directly related experience equal to three (3) years; some locations may

have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management,

coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous process improvement

Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Ability to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification

Reach with hands and arms, extending arms forward and above the head

Climb ladders and stairs, and perform work at heights

Lift and carry 35 pounds of material

Other Job Requirements

Must have active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance

U.S. citizen

Physical Demands: Performance of work may require sorting and movement of items up to 35 pounds and

may require extended walking and standing. Performs light to moderate lifting when moving material by

hand or hand-truck. May be required to operate a variety of forklifts to move, load and unload material.

Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. Employee

is required to stand, walk, sit, squat, stoop, bend, climb, lift and pull. Employee is required to use hands

and fingers to finger, handle, feel and grip material and tools. Employee is required to reach with hands and

arms, extending arms forward and above the head.

Work Environment: Generally favorable indoor office workspace and/or limited exposure to adverse

weather conditions. Will be required to use personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety shoes,

protective eyewear, safety vest, hardhat, and/or ear protection.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global

equivalent, however four (4) year accredited degree or global equivalent preferred

Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)

Experience should be primarily in the area of Logistics/Warehousing

Ability to lead a team and motivate others to be successful

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Good computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Office Applications
