Description

Martz Bus is seeking an experienced Operations Dispatcher / Driver Supervisor to help coordinate our daily motor coach operation in Florida. This is a hands-on position for someone who stays organized, communicates clearly, and can make sound decisions in a fast-moving transportation environment.

In this role, you will build and manage the daily operating board, assign drivers and vehicles, monitor service throughout the day, and respond to call-offs, schedule changes, breakdowns, and other operational challenges. You will also serve as a primary resource for our Motor Coach Operators and work closely with Sales, Maintenance, Safety, and management to provide safe, reliable, and on-time service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assigning qualified drivers and available vehicles to scheduled trips
• Monitoring driver report times and securing coverage for call-offs or no-shows
• Reviewing next-day driver, vehicle, and trip readiness
• Coordinating schedule changes, breakdowns, vehicle swaps, and service disruptions
• Supporting driver attendance, reliability, and performance expectations
• Communicating trip changes and updated work information to drivers
• Reviewing driver time and supporting payroll accuracy
• Preparing daily operational reports and vehicle-cleaning schedules
• Assisting with accident, incident, and customer-service response
• Maintaining clear communication and effective handoffs between shifts and departments

Motor coach or passenger transportation experience is a plus.

Position Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Transportation operations, dispatch, or supervisory experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions when priorities change
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to learn scheduling, dispatch, GPS, and other operational systems
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
