    Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our contents restoration business. This role combines operational leadership (scheduling, staffing, safety, process) with hands-on project coordination (job execution, subcontractor management, cross-team communication) into a single seat. You'll be the operational backbone of the company — the person who ensures every job runs smoothly, safely, and to the standard our customers expect, while managing the team that delivers it.

This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role reporting directly to the owner, with real opportunity to grow into a more senior operating role as the company scales.

    Key Responsibilities

    Day-to-Day Operations:
    • Manage resource scheduling across all active jobs, balancing core staff with temporary surge labor during high-volume periods
    • Own hiring, onboarding, and performance management for field staff
    • Drive front-line accountability for on-time, on-budget job execution
    Quality with Efficiency:
    • Define and uphold what "white-glove" service looks like in execution. It's not just what we say, it's what we do.
    • Balance speed and cost against our customer experience standard
    • Implement quality-control checkpoints (spot checks, customer feedback loops, job close-out reviews)
    Process, Safety & Execution Standards:
    • Maintain and enforce SOPs for packout, cleaning, storage, and transport
    • Own safety compliance — proper handling procedures, training records, documentation
    • Serve as the process owner who keeps execution consistent as the company grows
    Facility Safety & Cleanliness:
    • Oversee warehouse/facility standards in close coordination with the Warehouse Coordinator
    • Ensure facility conditions meet safety and operational requirements
Job Coordination — Managing the Moving Parts:
    • Vet and select the right subcontractors for jobs requiring outside labor or specialty services
    • Serve as the communication hub between our team, mitigation/reconstruction contractors, and customers
    • Prevent delays and miscommunication that could compromise the customer experience
    What Success Looks Like

    • Jobs run on schedule, on budget, and to our quality standard
    • Resource utilization stays at or above current benchmarks
    • Safety incidents and process deviations trend down
    • Customers consistently report a calm, well-managed experience
    • Operational capacity grows to support increased monthly volume
    Qualifications

    • 5+ years in operations management, ideally in restoration, construction, field services, or a related project-based industry
    • Proven track record managing both people (scheduling, hiring, team leadership) and projects (multi-party coordination, vendor/subcontractor management)
    • Strong safety and process orientation — comfortable building and enforcing standards
    • Excellent communicator, able to represent the company well with customers and outside contractors
    • Thrives in a fast-moving, variable environment with competing priorities
    • Experience in restoration, insurance claims, or contents/property management industries a plus
    Compensation

$85,000–$95,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
    Performance based bonus plan.
    Compensation: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
