Flexible schedule based on operational event needs, focused on afternoons, evenings, late nights, and weekends Tuesday - Saturday. Typical shift times are between 10am - 7pm and adjust as required based on event needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Coordination (Primary):
Other Work/Responsibilities
Operations Oversight: Manage evening and weekend building operations, as well as all outdoor spaces event operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer‑focused service.
Event Coordination: Lead event operations across indoor and outdoor venues, including logistics, client communication, room setups, risk management, and on‑site support for major campus events.
Student Staff Management: Supervise 20-30 student employees through hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, recognition, and participation in the Student Employee Experience Program.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Partner with Reservations, Facilities, AV/Tech Services, and other operations staff to deliver seamless event and facility experiences.
Operational Support: Maintain inventory, oversee equipment and supplies, support preventative maintenance, and serve as a mandatory employee during inclement weather.
Committee Participation: Contribute to Student Centers committees, programs, and initiatives as requested.
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the mission of Student Centers.
Necessary Licenses or Certifications
Must have a Valid Driver License flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions.
However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions or designated as variable hour worker - i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan and will be notified of instructions.
