Operations Consultant II

This role will perform end-to-end trade controls, validate complex booking economics, investigate discrepancies, and partner closely with Front Office, Structuring, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology to ensure accurate trade capture and downstream processing. Review complex product attributes, including payoffs, barriers, autocalls, digitals, knock-in/knock-out features, coupons, and underlying baskets or indices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A financial services organization is seeking an experienced trade validation professional with deep expertise in equity derivatives and structured equity products. This role will perform end-to-end trade controls, validate complex booking economics, investigate discrepancies, and partner closely with Front Office, Structuring, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology to ensure accurate trade capture and downstream processing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform end-to-end trade validation and control for equity derivatives and structured equity products.
• Validate trade economics against term sheets, confirmations, trader recaps, and booking models.
• Review complex product attributes, including payoffs, barriers, autocalls, digitals, knock-in/knock-out features, coupons, and underlying baskets or indices.
• Investigate trade capture discrepancies, booking issues, and exceptions and drive them through resolution.
• Partner with Trading, Sales, Structuring, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to resolve trade-related issues.
• Monitor lifecycle events including amendments, cancellations, novations, resets, corporate actions, fixing events, and maturities.
• Perform daily controls and reconciliations to identify missing, unmatched, or incorrectly booked trades.
• Assess the impact of trade capture accuracy on valuation, risk, and downstream operational processes.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.
