    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Operations Assistant provides administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of YWCA Northern New Jersey. The position supports office and facility coordination, scheduling, meeting logistics, routine communications, administrative follow-up, and coordination of operational requests across departments. The Operations Assistant also serves as a liaison for routine facilities and IT matters, ensuring requests are communicated, tracked, and followed through to resolution. This position works closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and staff across the organization to support organizational logistics and administrative needs and performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

    WHO YOU ARE

     

    • You have an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
    • You bring at least 1 year of administrative, office operations, facilities, executive support, or related professional experience preferred.
    • You have experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferred.
    • You have experience coordinating schedules, meetings, office operations, vendors, facilities, or administrative systems preferred.
    • You have experience working with Microsoft Office, online scheduling platforms, databases, and other administrative technology required.
    • You have strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • You work effectively with diverse communities, teams, and stakeholders.
    • You are committed to social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
    • You lead with empathy, integrity, accountability, collaboration, and sound judgment.
