This role is central to supporting dredging operations through data-driven analysis real-time monitoring and operational decision-making from shore. The ROSC Engineer will play a key role in optimizing production efficiency diagnosing performance issues and coordinating with field teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.An initial training period of approximately six 6 months will involve up to 50 travel for hands-on field familiarization and system integration before transitioning to approximately 5 annual travel for periodic field visits training or site investigations.About the CompanyGreat Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation is the largest provider of dredging services in the United States. The Companys commitment to the IIF culture promotes a work environment where employee safety is paramount.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Monitoring & SupportMonitor dredging operations in real time via ROSC systems identifying trends anomalies and opportunities to optimize production.Provide immediate analytical support to vessel and project teams particularly during critical operational events or production challenges.Collaborate with site engineers and crews to validate data interpretations and operational insights.Performance AnalysisAnalyze production downtime and equipment performance data to identify efficiency improvements and support long-term optimization initiatives.Assist to develop and maintain operational dashboards and performance reports for leadership and field teams.Decision Support & TroubleshootingWork closely with cross functional teams and field engineers to provide data-driven recommendations for operational adjustments.Support root cause analysis for performance deviations or mechanical issues integrating field feedback with sensor data.Report Drawing and QC ManagementCreate detailed reports and operational summaries for leadership review.Produce and update engineering drawings and visual aids used in analysis and communication.Conduct quality control QC checks on data reports and analyses to ensure accuracy and reliability.Communication & CoordinationServe as a key link between ROSC and field operations ensuring clear consistent communication of recommendations and findings.Participate in daily coordination calls and operational briefings with dredging teams.Training & DevelopmentSupport crew and engineer training initiatives to enhance understanding of ROSC monitoring tools data interpretation and performance optimization.Assist in developing ROSC workflows documentation and standard operating procedures.QualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering Mechanical Civil Marine or related discipline Masters degree beneficial3-10 years of relevant engineering or operations experience in dredging marine construction or heavy civil operationsPrevious operations center experience highly beneficialStrong analytical and problem-solving skills experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI Excel or similarExcellent communication and collaboration abilities across field and office teamsWillingness to work a 10-on5-off rotation and early shift hours in a collaborative operations center environmentAbility to travel up to 5 annually following the initial training period.BenefitsCompetitive salary with annual performance & salary reviewsMedical Dental Vision Prescription Life and LTD insurance plans401k program that provides 100 company matching of the first 6 of employee contributions immediate vesting and profit-sharing contributions by the company based on company&8217s annual performance.Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
