Operations Analyst Co-op - Spring 2027

The base pay for this position is $24 per hour.

This is a Boston based opportunity with a 4 day in office expectation (Monday - Thursday) with 1 day remote (Friday).

Who We Are:

Wayfair's Operations organization is revolutionizing the customer experience through the development of a proprietary logistics network and optimization platform that manages the end-to-end supply chain, from overseas production to the customer's front door. This team works directly with suppliers, vendors, and customers to provide new levels of efficiency and performance. They also interact internally with Product, Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to generate the core analytical insights that enable Wayfair to tackle transportation, warehousing, and delivery challenges. Top Co-op candidates will possess strong business acumen, analytical horsepower, and an appetite for solving challenging business problems. As an Operations Analyst Co-op, you'll develop and execute strategies that generate competitive advantage for Wayfair, and the results of your findings will improve the day-to-day efficiency of a complex and sophisticated global supply chain.

What You'll Do:

  • Leverage data to analyze the Operations organization and develop business cases for strategic initiatives that drive speed, reliability, and cost reduction throughout our supply chain

  • Create cross-functional partnerships throughout Operations and other areas of the business to solve problems and innovate tools and processes

  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and field teams to improve operational performance that can scale with Wayfair's continued growth

  • Work effectively with peers and managers by demonstrating high quality communication and teamwork

What You'll Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors in a relevant discipline (eg. analytics, supply chain, business operations), with the expectation that degree will be obtained between Winter 2027 and Spring 2029

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Must be returning to the course of study following completion of the Co-op

  • Ability to commit to working 40 hours/week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from January 4 to June 18, 2027 in our Boston office

  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future. Visa sponsorship includes the following work visas: STEM OPT EAD, H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ,

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen: ability to understand how various parts of the business interact; can identify and approach problems from a customer or supplier perspective

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills: excited about working with and synthesizing big data into actionable insights; comfortable using data software to conduct analyses and synthesize findings

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to summarize and share results with key stakeholders

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets

  • Familiarity with any programming language or motivation to learn and develop the

  • Strong comfort level and appetite to use AI in daily workflow

This includes, for example: (a) driving operational planning and coordination across all functional areas for our order-to-delivery chain, (b) shaping long-term strategy and network design, (c) providing the single source of truth for performance across Operations, and (d) applying advanced optimization techniques to enable automated, yet high-quality operational decisions at scale.

  • Global Supply Chain: Wayfairs Global Supply Chain (GSC) team is a network of interconnected global departments that support the journey of a product once an order is placed. This includes teams that manage all aspects of the Transportation & Delivery function, teams that support the frontline operations, and teams that manage and monetize Returns & Incidents. The objective of the GSC team is to get orders to customers homes quickly, reliably, and conveniently, while enhancing the customer experience by preventing and reducing product defects. As a part of the GSC team, you will have an important role in accomplishing our mission: delivering cost-efficient perfect orders at scale.

  • Global Service: The global service teams are responsible for setting the standards on how we deliver an excellent experience to our customers. We identify customer channel disconnects, drive improvements for a smooth and frictionless customer experience, recommend technology solutions, and train our frontline agents.

Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely the other 1 day of the week.
