Description

As an Operations Accounting Analyst, you will have ownership for all things operations accounting and cost management for multiple manufacturing and/or distribution sites. You will also support ad hoc requests for the PPC Supply Chain Operations. You will report to the Operations Accounting Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations
  • Evaluate account reconciliations to identify trends and ensure accuracy of the account balances.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis to service manufacturing, distribution and business leadership.
  • Help facilitate and perform re-costing and analyze results to understand real-time cost changes
  • Support the plant & dc manager and the leadership team with understanding results, proactive cost actions, capital investment analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks.
  • Oversee inventory accounting and physical inventory financial practices for the plant locations
  • Help with SOX audit compliance and other issues raised by internal and external audit.
  • Support the PPC Supply Chain Operations and Finance leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 5+ years of accounting or related experience
  • Prior cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding Excel knowledge required.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • SAP and costing experience, preferred.
  • Travel quarterly to plant sites
