    Description

    Title: Operational AI & Process Lead

    Location: 1525 W W T Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC

    Duration: 6 months

    Work Engagement: W-2

    Work Schedule: 3 days in office/2 days remote

    Summary:

    We are seeking a highly analytical and innovative professional to join our Securities Operations team, focused on driving operational excellence through process optimization and AI enablement. This role blends deep securities operations expertise with modern AI capabilities (e.g., Copilot, prompt engineering) to transform workflows, improve decision-making, and reduce operational risk.

    The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong execution skills who can translate complex operational processes into scalable, structured frameworks that support automation, knowledge management, and AI-driven solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead complex, cross-functional lifecycle initiatives within Securities Operations, including large-scale planning, execution, and continuous improvement efforts

    • Identify and implement process optimization opportunities, including AI-enabled workflow enhancements

    • Analyze complex operational challenges and provide solutions that balance risk, compliance, efficiency, and accuracy

    • Make informed decisions across the full trade lifecycle, leveraging deep knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

    • Translate operational workflows into structured, repeatable frameworks (LOBs, scenarios, steps, systems, escalation paths) to support AI and knowledge-based solutions

    • Collaborate with peers, stakeholders, and senior leadership to resolve issues, drive initiatives, and achieve business objectives

    • Lead or contribute to projects, mentor team members, and support overall team effectiveness

    • Develop subject matter expertise across key operational areas, including:

    • Client account onboarding

    • Cash payments and funding operations

    • Custodial operations

    • Securities settlement services

    • Structured loan operations

    • General ledger reconciliation

    • Monitor daily securities and cash-related production activities and ensure operational integrity

    • Resolve complex escalations and mitigate operational risk through proactive controls and workflow improvements

    • Research business risks, enhance policies, and support customer satisfaction through timely and accurate execution

    • Lead implementation of new or revised processes, ensuring alignment with business strategies, financial impact considerations, and risk management

    Qualifications:

    • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

    • Demonstrated experience in Securities Operations, or equivalent

    • Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle, including trade processing, settlement, and operational risk controls

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex operational issues and identify root causes

    • Proven ability to map, analyze, and document operational workflows and translate them into structured, repeatable frameworks

    • Experience with data structuring and knowledge management, including organizing and normalizing data to support scalable, AI-driven solutions

    • Ability to exercise independent judgment in complex operational and risk-related situations while maintaining compliance and accuracy

    • Experience implementing AI or Copilot-based solutions in an operational environment

    • Background in building knowledge-based tools or workflow optimization solutions

    • Contact center or frontline support experience, with understanding of real-time operational guidance and agent workflows

    • Familiarity with automation and workflow tools such as:

    • Power Automate

    • SharePoint

    • Knowledge management platforms
