A day in the life
You start your day on the road, heading to a hospital site within a designated multi-state territory in a company vehicle. Sometimes it’s a quick day trip; other weeks, you’re on a Monday–Friday run with an occasional weekend on the schedule (no more than two weekends per month). Hours flex with Customer needs. Overtime is common in this role, though not guaranteed.
The impact you make
You install and bring to life the critical equipment that keeps surgical and sterile processing teams moving efficiently and safely—sterilizers, surgical lights/booms, and related utility connections—in operating rooms and central sterile areas. From the moment you arrive to the time the system is tested and handed off, you’re enabling top-tier patient care.
What you’ll tackle
- Coordinate with an Installation Project Manager to align scheduling with equipment delivery, Customer availability, and construction timelines.
- Confirm site readiness: verify rough-in dimensions, utilities, and physical pathways (doors, elevators, corridors) for safe transport and install.
- Install STERIS equipment end to end: uncrate, assemble, set or lift into place, level, connect utilities, and test performance.
- Complete all service documentation electronically for accurate records and customer handoff.
- Ensure post-install polish: remove packing/crates, wipe equipment to remove fingerprints, and resolve any questions before departing.
