Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Description:
VHS is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team on a weekend block schedule. The schedule includes Friday through Sunday shifts from 06:15 AM to 06:45 PM. The call requirements involve a 30-minute response time, with 2-3 weekdays per month and one 12-hour weekend post-call shift per month.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of circulating experience in a multi-specialty operating room. Preferred qualifications include trauma level II experience, Epic electronic medical record experience, charge nurse experience, and familiarity with special procedures such as Ortho, Cardio Thoracic, ENT, GYN, Plastics, Vascular, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Trauma, Urology, Neurosurgery, and Robotic Procedures.
Required certifications include ACLS and BLS. The hospital provides scrubs. Responsibilities encompass perioperative nursing care during night shift operations, including emergency and add-on cases at a Level II Trauma Center. Duties include circulating, patient assessment, coordinating with surgical and anesthesia teams, maintaining a sterile environment, and adhering to AORN standards and hospital policies. Ability to work independently in a trauma community hospital setting is essential.
Shift Info: Day 3x12-Hour shifts (06:15 - 18:45).
