Description
A health services network in New York is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Operating Room team at one of their facilities in Ulster County.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 13-week assignment
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and intervention
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process
- Maintain sterile technique, infection prevention standards, and accurate surgical documentation
- Coordinate care and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perioperative staff, patients, and families
- Support patient flow, quality improvement efforts, safety initiatives, and assigned call coverage
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Acute Care experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active New York State RN license
- BLS certification
- Experience in an Operating Room role/setting
Desired Skills:
- AORN certification
- Surgical Nursing experience
