OPENTEXT / NETIQ INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER
Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) – Philadelphia, PA
Long-Term Infrastructure Support & Engineering Engagement

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) is the nation's largest municipally owned natural gas utility, serving more than 500,000 active customer accounts throughout the City of Philadelphia. PGW operates and maintains critical utility infrastructure that supports the city's energy distribution network and internal enterprise operations. The organization is focused heavily on operational stability, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, compliance, disaster recovery, and enterprise systems reliability.

PGW is seeking a highly advanced OpenText / NetIQ Infrastructure Engineer to augment its existing enterprise server and infrastructure team. This individual will function as both a hands-on engineer and a senior-level infrastructure SME supporting critical enterprise authentication, identity management, access management, Windows Server, Azure, and infrastructure systems.

This is NOT a junior administrator role. The environment supports enterprise utility operations and requires someone capable of independently supporting, troubleshooting, documenting, improving, and modernizing highly integrated infrastructure systems.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The OpenText / NetIQ Infrastructure Engineer will provide advanced engineering support across OpenText and NetIQ technologies while also supporting Microsoft on-premises and Azure infrastructure environments. The engineer will support both day-to-day operational activities and larger project-based infrastructure initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have deep enterprise-level experience supporting identity and access management platforms, directory services, authentication technologies, Windows infrastructure, and hybrid cloud environments. This person must be comfortable working independently, participating in architecture discussions, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, documenting environments for compliance and disaster recovery, and supporting after-hours production activities when required.

The engineer must be able to become operationally productive within approximately four weeks from project kickoff.
