The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Houston''s Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at any rank (Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor) in the field of Physiology. As a member of our dynamic team, the faculty member will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals. The faculty member is expected to support the design and delivery of physiology content in an integrated, cross-disciplinary, active learning-based curriculum.
Applicants must possess a PhD in physiology (or related discipline) or an MD/DO degree, with experience in undergraduate medical education or health professions educational settings. Currently, all faculty positions in the College of Medicine are offered on a non-tenure track basis.
Salary and rank commensurate with experience.

Applicants must have a PhD, MD or DO, dependent on the position, from an accredited institution. Official transcripts are required for faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidate(s). Physician applicants must possess an unrestricted Texas Medical License and board certification in their specialty. While exceptions may be considered, approval must be obtained from the Vice Dean of Education and/or the Dean of the College of Medicine and the Office of the Provost. All positions within the University of Houston System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check. Physician applicants are required to provide documentation of current licensure and board certification as part of their application materials.
Employees are expected to have a home address in the state of Texas for the duration of their appointments.
