Position Summary

The UNC Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Division of Acute Psychiatry. This clinician will provide clinical services in the Behavioral Health Emergency Department and will lead a team of experienced and engaged advanced practice providers and licensed clinical social workers. This is a full-time fixed term (clinical) position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The rank will be based on the qualifications of the applicants.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Strong clinical skills and demonstrated administrative and clinical efficiency skills necessary to enable them to successfully provide clinical, supervisory, and educational services. Clinical experience working with patients of all ages.
