    Open-Deck Fleet Planner & Dispatcher

CB Freight Inc. | Transportation & Logistics

Know your way around flatbed freight and driver ops? At CB Freight Inc., you’ll orchestrate the daily movement of open-deck equipment while building trusted relationships with drivers and customers. Your purpose: keep trucks productive, schedules realistic, and information flowing.

    A day in the role

    • Align capacity to freight: Pair open-deck loads with the right drivers and trailers based on timing, equipment, and delivery requirements.
    • Engineer efficient routes: Reduce empty miles, plan backhauls, and keep a pulse on revenue per mile and operating costs.
    • Be the driver’s point person: Share clear load details, appointment windows, routing guidance, and customer-specific instructions.
    • Run the board: Track every shipment, monitor on-time pickup and delivery, and jump on issues like delays, breakdowns, or schedule conflicts.
    • Partner with brokers and shippers: Confirm details, negotiate rates, and send timely updates from pickup through POD.
    • Keep the paperwork tight: Maintain accurate TMS/dispatch entries, rate confirmations, bills of lading, and proof-of-delivery documents.
    • Operate with safety first: Plan around DOT/FMCSA rules, hours-of-service, ELD availability, and flatbed securement/tarping standards.
