Job Description

We are seeking a Field Technical Support Representative V (Onsite Administrator - Print, OSA Level II) to join our team in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in onsite print fleet support, incident management, and customer relationship management, and a proven ability to deliver proactive and reactive services that maximize device uptime and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor systems to detect performance issues and resolve technical problems using established protocols.
  • Provide high-quality customer support by clarifying needs, addressing inquiries, and escalating issues per procedures.
  • Conduct routine installations, configurations, and scripted change management activities.
  • Identify incident trends, adhere to SLAs, and follow incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Manage consumable inventory, replace toner and paper, and ensure adequate supplies at customer sites.
  • Clear paper jams, assist end users with device functionality, and perform initial troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with HP software-branded support and swap devices with spares as needed.
  • Collect usage pages per device as needed and report customer dissatisfaction to CSM/SDM.
  • Mentor and coach new hires on work processes and procedures and provide leadership to Field Technical Support Representatives.
  • Align work with operational plans, maintain data confidentiality, and meet production and response-time goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency supporting enterprise print devices and related software in heterogeneous data center or office environments.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, UNIX fundamentals, and networking basics relevant to device connectivity and queues.
  • Demonstrated expertise in incident, change, and problem management with proactive escalation to prevent outages or data loss.
  • Excellent customer relationship, communication, and presentation skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to perform under high-pressure situations with strong planning, problem-solving, analysis, and negotiation skills.
  • Education: Minimum Vocational/Diploma/Associate Degree in a technical field with 6+ years related experience, or Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting a full range of HP products and proactive account management meeting HA/MCS qualifications.
  • ITIL knowledge or certification with the ability to communicate business and IT alignment value.

  • Work Arrangement: Full time at the Customer Site. Work On Site Required. Client Interface Required.
  • Overtime: Not required. Dress Code: Business Casual.
  • Location Specific: Candidates must reside in Reno, NV or commute daily to the customer site.
