Job Description
We are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant II (Onsite Administrator - Print) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in onsite device support, print fleet operations, incident triage, and customer service and a proven ability to resolve technical issues, maintain device uptime, and meet service-level goals.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor systems to detect performance issues and resolve technical problems using established protocols.
- Conduct routine installations, configurations, and integration of devices in accordance with standard procedures.
- Proactively address service, product, and technical inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Execute approved scripted change management activities while adhering to incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Meet daily production goals and contract-required response times for high-quality service delivery.
- Identify incident trends, escalate within required timeframes, and recommend preventive measures.
- Apply HP solutions to meet moderately complex customer needs within the assigned technical scope.
- Balance internal priorities with customer needs within defined parameters and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Build strong relationships with site management and influence delivery decisions within assigned account plans.
- Manage small team projects and support department-level operational plans with minimal supervision.
Onsite Administrator (Print) - OSA Level II Duties:
- Manage consumable inventory and ensure availability at customer sites.
- Replace toner, consumables, and paper. Clear paper jams.
- Assist end users with device functionality and basic operations.
- Coordinate with HP for software-branded support and escalate as required.
- Report customer dissatisfaction to CSM/SDM promptly.
- Collect device usage pages as needed and maintain accurate records.
- Swap devices with spares as needed and perform initial troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of HP products and services with core competencies in OS, networking, and HP applications.
- Effective communication with technical staff and first- and middle-level management.
- Active listening and audience-aware messaging skills.
- Problem-solving skills with proactive and reactive approaches and creative options identification.
- Basic project management, communication, and analytical skills with ability to suggest operational efficiencies.
- Technical background or demonstrated understanding to work with customers and technicians on issue determination and resolution.
- Experience level: Typically 2-5 years in related roles, preferably maintenance, quality, or device support.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of incident, change, and problem management frameworks.
- Customer-facing experience in a full-time onsite environment.
Role Type and Worksite Expectations
Full time at the Customer Site. Work On Site Required. Client Interface Required. Business Casual dress code. Overtime not required. Candidates must reside in Honolulu, HI or commute daily to the customer site.
Education
High School Diploma, GED, Higher Secondary education, or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate degree in a technical field with 4-6 years of related experience desired.
