Job Description
We are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant II (Onsite Administrator - Print, OSA Level II) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in onsite print device support, consumables management, incident resolution, and customer-facing technical service and a proven ability to resolve technical issues independently, meet service-level targets, and drive customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Apply technical knowledge to operate assigned technology areas with moderate risk and complexity, including print devices and related software.
- Monitor systems to detect performance issues and resolve technical problems using established protocols and procedures.
- Resolve most incidents independently and collaborate with team members on complex or cross-technology issues.
- Identify incident trends, potential escalations, and alert management proactively while managing customer expectations.
- Conduct routine installations, configurations, and device integrations per standard protocols, including scripted change activities.
- Provide responsive customer service, addressing service, product, and technical inquiries to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain daily production goals and meet contract-required response times while adhering to incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Align work with operational strategy and support process improvements to standardize global practices.
- Protect data confidentiality and follow established standards and policies.
- Manage small projects or programs and provide input to account delivery decisions as assigned.
Onsite Administrator (OSA) Level II Duties:
- Manage consumable inventory and ensure adequate supplies at customer sites.
- Replace toner, consumables, and paper; clear paper jams; and perform initial troubleshooting.
- Assist end users with device functionality and coordinate with HP software-branded support as needed.
- Collect usage pages per device and swap devices with spares as required.
- Report customer dissatisfaction to CSM/SDM promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of HP products and services, with core competencies in OS, networking, and HP applications.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve incidents, identify trends, and execute standard changes.
- Effective communication skills with technical audiences and first- and middle-level management; active listening and audience-aware messaging.
- Problem-solving skills with proactive and reactive approaches; ability to set priorities and propose practical solutions.
- Basic project management and analytical skills; ability to suggest operational efficiencies.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED or higher, or commensurate experience.
- Experience: Typically 2-5 years in related work, preferably maintenance or quality, or similar technical field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in customer-facing onsite support at enterprise or public-sector locations.
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident, change, and problem management processes.
Role Specifics
- Work location: Full time at the customer site in Fresno, CA. Daily onsite presence is required.
