Onsite Construction Safety Specialist

Position: Construction Site Safety Specialist
Duration: 4 to 6 months
Location: Holly Springs, NC (Raleigh/Durham area)

Job Description:

Paragon Safety Group is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Safety Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis to support the work of our client, a Trade Subcontractor working on a major construction site. As a Construction Site Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on the construction site. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program in line with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on the construction site.
• Implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
• Provide safety training to construction site personnel, including toolbox talks and site-specific safety orientations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address safety concerns and foster a safety-conscious work environment.
• Stay current with industry best practices and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• OSHA 500-level certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional safety oversight experience on construction sites.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety management.
