Monroe Township Public School District, a comprehensive school district serving approximately 5,900
students, is seeking an experienced Transportation Director to lead and manage all aspects of the district's
student transportation program for the 2026-2027 school year, effective January 4, 2027:
POSITION: Transportation Director

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold New Jersey Transportation Supervisor certificate or complete equivalent courses within eighteen
months of employment
- A valid NJ Drivers License or Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred
- Excellent driving record; five (5) year Driver's Abstract required
- Demonstrated administrative or supervisory experience in student transportation or a comparable
transportation operation
- Thorough knowledge of student transportation laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including
N.J.A.C. 6A:27
- Working knowledge of Transfinder or comparable student transportation routing and management
software
- Experience with transportation contracts, specifications, bidding, procurement, and contractor oversight
- Ability to select, train and supervise personnel in the Transportation Department
- Thorough geographic knowledge of Monroe Township (Gloucester County) and surrounding areas
- Successful completion of criminal history background check
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
- New Jersey residency or agreement to obtain residency within one year of employment
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
SALARY RANGE: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 based on education, qualifications and experience. Pay, benefits
and working conditions are governed by Board policy.
